Now, we all loved Playstation, because sadly we didn't know the power of technology that was up ahead for us. Overall: Before XBOX came out, we all have to admit to owning a playstation, or at least knew someone who owned one. Also make the games harder to beat (they're to easy for tony hawk experts). Suggestions: Make a tony hawk greatest hits, with all the levels from tony hawk 1 all the way to 4 (when it comes out). The falls are crisp, the board is realistic, and the ability to add your own soundtracks really adds to the game. There isn't really that much of a difference, but tony hawk 3 is more of a port with an extra level. The graphics are actually better than in tony hawk 3, due to the superior vertex shading, superior bump mapping, and volumetric grass. Graphics: This is the best graphics out of any tony hawk game. This game might get old quickly though, if you already have tony hawk 1 and 2 The controls are just about the best in any extreme sport game. Gameplay: This is basicly the same gameplay as the other Hawk games. The five new levels really aren't that great, but if you really love tony hawk 1 and 2, or you don't own them, then you should buy this Overall: This is a great tony hawk game, due to the huge selection of levels, and good graphics. Custom soundtrack feature is cool, but you have to crank the music volume up and SFX volume way down to be able to hear your own songs for some reason. Sound: I don't pay much attention to sound in games. Graphics: Very good graphics, with some minor tweaking for the Xbox, but nothing spectacular. Otherwise this is the quintessential Tony Hawk game. By the time you reach the TH1 levels you're stats are going to be maxed. The transition for TH2 to TH1 and the extra levels should've been better developed.

Almost a platform game in level design, the series set the standard for a new genre and only Aggressive Inline has been able to match/improve the formula. Gameplay: Even the original Tony Hawk levels still hold up. Hardcore Tony Hawk fans may not get enough new here to warrant a purchase though. Tons of levels, excellent controls and gameplay. Overall: If you've never played a Tony Hawk game and have any interest in doing so, this is the game for you. I think someone needs to make a skating game with a storyline. Suggestions: Make more competitions, and make a better multioplayer mode. Could still use some work though, to live up to the xbox's potential. Drastic improvement over the playstation. Multiplayer is ok, but i think there should be more modes.like contests where you and more players face other npc's competing for medals. I dont really like getting the secret tape and such, but ya know :P. but the way they do approach it is very intriguing. I think they could give it a more realistic approach. But there are a few annoying flaws in it. Graphics are excellent, and the gameplay doesent get old for about a month. It was fun on playstation, but it has really improved on the xbox. That way when I write a review I can just use T2. Suggestions: Lose the "x" at the end of the title, and make the title shorter so the initials are smaller and easier to write. Sound: THPSK2XPF2 (or something like that) has great sound effects, great use of custom soundtracks, everything in the sound category was just great. There was occassional collision detection problems when your character falls down, but everything else was fine.
I got a lot of chances to watch the characters fall down because that was what I do best. Graphics: Environments and the characters look solid. I still am far from mastering the game, and there are a few areas and items that I have trouble figuring out how I am supposed to reach, but overall it is easy enough.
Gameplay: Like I said above, the game plays very easy and in no time I was doing some cool stunts. Bottom line is that it didn't convert me into a skateboarding game fan, but it was fun enough to hold my interest for short time periods.

The only thing that kept me playing was to see new environments and to upgrade my skills. While it was mildly fun, I found it to be kind of disposable. I can't really compare it to the 3rd and 4th installment of the TH series because I've never tried them, but I liked this one. I was pulling off some impresive stunts within the first few minutes of gameplay. Technically it achieves it's purpose, and it was fairly easy for me as a newbie to pick it up and play. Overall: I've never played a skateboarding game before I decided to give THPS2x a try, and I only got this one because it was so cheap I couldn't pass it up.
